The Consultation Process

The initial consultation process usually takes about an hour and will be led by one of our treatment coordinators. We look forward to meeting you!

Arrive & Get Settled

We recommend you arrive about 10 minutes early to get settled and complete any required paperwork.

Upon arrival, you will be greeted by a member of our front reception team.

While you wait, you can relax in our comfortable reception room.

We'll then show you to a private and comfortable consultation room where you can wait for your appointment to begin.

Assessment & Diagnostic Imaging

We'll begin by talking to you about your concerns and goals for treatment. We'll also take some 'Before Treatment' photos of your smile.

Next, we'll conduct a thorough exam. This will include diagnostic imaging to get a comprehensive picture of your dental health. We'll create a 3D digital image of your teeth using our iTero® scanner, which we can use down the road to create whatever orthodontic appliance you may need.

We can also use the iTero scanner to produce a digital outcome simulation for you, so you can see how your results may look at the end of your treatment!

Customized Treatment Plan

At this point in the process, you'll meet with our treatment coordinator to discuss your health history (if needed) and review the imaging, outlining indications for orthodontic treatment.

Based on the results from your exam and imaging, your orthodontist will diagnose your condition and develop a customized treatment plan to resolve it and meet your goals. Our treatment coordinator will review this plan with you, and your orthodontist will go over the finer points with you as well.

This plan will include treatment recommendations, a projected timeline for treatment completion, and an appointment schedule.

We'll also discuss a payment game plan for your treatment. This will include your payment plan and insurance coverage if you are using those payment options.

Next Steps

To close off the appointment, we'll discuss immediate next steps to get your treatment plan rolling, and schedule your next appointment(s).

We will also answer any questions you have and provide you with advice, guidance, and support – both during your consultation and throughout your entire orthodontic journey.

We love talking about teeth and will take any opportunity to do so! But more importantly, we know that patients who are fully informed about their treatment and understand its ins and outs have the best success, and that's our goal for you!
